Effective October 2026. This Privacy Policy explains what information the PSU Trading Society (“the Society,” “we,” “us”) collects when you use psutradingsociety.com and psutradingsociety.org (the “Website”), how we use it, and the choices you have. It reflects the same practice the Society has followed since its founding in 2017: collect very little, share none of it, and keep what members tell us within the Society.

What we collect

01Information you provide

If you email us, we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and the contents of your message. If you are issued a member account, we hold the email address and name associated with it and a securely stored credential. We do not ask for payment information, government identifiers, or sensitive personal information.

02Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records standard technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, pages viewed, and timestamps. This is used for security, to keep the Website running, and to understand aggregate traffic. We do not use advertising trackers or sell this data.

03Cookies and similar technologies

The public Website does not set cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking. If the member area is enabled, strictly necessary cookies or similar storage may be used to keep you signed in. Your browser may store preferences such as a remembered menu state; these stay on your device.

04Third-party services

The Website loads typefaces from Google Fonts, which means Google receives a request from your browser, including your IP address, when a page loads. Links to outside websites such as LinkedIn and YouTube are governed by those sites’ own privacy policies. Our hosting provider processes technical data on our behalf.

How we use and share information

05How we use information

We use information only to operate and secure the Website, respond to messages, administer member accounts, and honor requests such as photograph removal. We do not use your information for advertising.

06When we share information

We do not sell or rent personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the Website (such as hosting and email), when required by law or legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of the Society, its members, or others.

07Retention

We keep email correspondence for as long as needed to respond and maintain a record of Society matters, and member account information for as long as the account is active. Technical logs are kept for the period set by our hosting provider.

08Security

We use reasonable measures to protect information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and securely stored credentials. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and rights

09Your choices

You may ask us to correct or delete personal information we hold about you, to close a member account, or to remove a photograph in which you appear, by emailing contact@psutradingsociety.com. We will respond promptly.

10Regional rights

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR (for visitors in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom) or U.S. state privacy laws, including rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal information, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. We honor such requests regardless of location where we are able to.

11Children

The Website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

12International visitors

The Website is operated from the United States. If you visit from elsewhere, your information will be processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your country.

Changes and contact

13Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date at the top shows when it was last revised. Material changes will be noted on this page.

14Contact

Privacy questions and requests can be sent to contact@psutradingsociety.com.
