What the sessions covered

Derivatives sessions covered the building blocks: payoff diagrams, put-call parity, the intuition behind option pricing and the Greeks, and how futures and swaps are used to hedge or express a view.

Members worked through real hedging examples, from an airline locking in fuel costs to a portfolio manager protecting against a drawdown.

Part of the curriculum developed under founder and president Christopher R. Peckyno.
